On the occasion of Surya Grehan in 1918, Sh.Diali Ram Chopra DPI, Patiala estate of Maharaja Patiala vision an idea among the kings of various estates of India for the restoration of Kurukshetra area of 48 kos bhumi including all the religious temple. All the kings present at that time in kurukshetra, whole heartly appriciated the vision & offered full finiancial & moral support. There and then a society in the name of Shri Kurukshetra Restoration society formed for this noble cause & registered in 1921

Shri Kurukshetra Restoration society (Regd. In 1921) is Ist one of the organisation who owned the responsibility to develop the area of 48 kos bhumi including all temple & historical places in Kurukshetra.

• Geeta Bhawan was constructed in 1921
• Establish a historical library consiting all ved, puran, hand written as well as printed later on donated to kurukshetra University.
• Surya Temple was constructed in 2016 in Geeta Bhawan
• Construction of 4 Blocks consisting of AC/Non AC rooms having modern facilities from time to time.
